The following are the eligibility criteria for the FMGE exam:
- Qualification: The candidate must hold a primary medical qualification from a foreign medical institution that is recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC).
- Nationality: The candidate must be an Indian citizen or an Overseas Citizen of India (OCI).
- Eligibility Certificate: Indian students who have obtained their MBBS degree from a foreign medical institution must obtain an Eligibility Certificate from the NMC before appearing for the FMGE exam.
- Result Date of Qualification: The result of the final examination for the primary medical qualification should have been declared on or before April 30 of the year in which the candidate is appearing for the FMGE exam.
